Like many other advanced watches and gauges, a very large number of components share a very limited amount of space and like other valuable items you should treat your MALM watch with great care. It is important that you do not expose the watch to unnecessary impacts, chemicals, solvents, hazardous gases, magnetic fields or very cold or hot environments.

The timepiece should be serviced and maintained regularly to work properly. Such services should be performed by MALM or a professional watchmaker for warranty terms to apply. We offer many service options for your watch, from repairing and replacing worn components, pressure testing, resealing, cleaning to polishing, engraving and change dials and more.

The Frogdiver II 44 was originally designed and developed by MALM together with Swedish mine clearance divers.

The watch incorporates design elements inspired by diving equipment and is built with materials and features intended for use in cold and demanding underwater environments.

The Frogdiver 44 is built for deep-sea performance, featuring an in-house developed analog depth gauge using a capillary tube integrated into the steel case.

The redesigned dial includes raised, angled indices with red highlights at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock for improved readability, along with silver hands that contrast against the dark dial.

Sellita SW200-1

Sellita SW200-1 is a Swiss-made automatic mechanical movement widely used in modern watches. It features 26 jewels, a beat rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and a power reserve of around 38–41 hours.

Known for its reliability and precision, the movement offers functions for hours, minutes, seconds, and date, along with hacking seconds and manual winding.

Analouge depth gauge

The depth indicator in the Frogdiver is based on the principle of Boyle–Mariotte’s law, using a traditional capillary gauge. The system consists of a sealed tube with a small opening that allows water to enter during a dive, compressing the trapped air and moving an air bubble along a depth scale.

In the Frogdiver, the capillary tube is integrated into the watch and receives water through a small hole in the sapphire crystal at the 9 o’clock position. As pressure increases during descent, the air bubble moves along the scale to indicate depth, providing a simple and analog complement to modern digital dive equipment.
