To replace the battery in a watch by MALM, a special tool is used to open the caseback and the battery is replaced. The new battery’s lifespan is approximately 3 years. The service is performed by our watchmaker in our own shop 1-3 business after the watch has arrived.
After replacing the battery, we will do a water-resistance test. If the watch isn’t sealed, we will offer resealing where all the seals in the case, caseback and crowns is replaced prior to shipping the watch back to you. A 2-year service warranty is included to make sure the watch stays protected against moisture and water.
