Automatic and mechanical movements require service more regularly. The movements consist of many small parts and components that are worn down by time. We recommend service every 5 years.
A movement that appears to slow down or move irregularly indicates that service is needed. In our shop our watchmaker will:
- Disassemble the watch
- Clean all the small parts
- Replace worn components
- Reassemble with oil applicated
- Test the watch and auto winding efficiency
- Adjustments of the movement if needed.
