NEW RELEASE: CATALINA SILVER EAGLE AERONAUTICAL CHRONOGRAPH 41

Our Catalina collection continues to expand. The popular pilot watch Catalina was launched in 2020 as a tribute to Swedish flight history and the airplane that was shot down during the search of the lost DC-3 – Consolidated PBY Catalina, known as TP47 in the Swedish Air Force.

– After the launch of our first Catalina watches in 2020 the collection quickly became one of our most appreciated pilot watches. Compared to our other cronograph watches, the Catalina has a calmer expression due to its inspiration from classical divers watches, which I think is one of the reason why they became so popular. There’s also some other details that I personally think highlights the watch; the bezel is a bit more rough than our other models, which makes it easier to grip and operate. The size of the hands also makes the watch very easy to read. We’ve also made the hour and minute hands partly hollow so that the hands doesn't cover too much of the subdials. These small but significant details contributes to the overall expression of the watch, says Marcus Malm.

The Catalina Silver Eagle watch case, case back and bezel is made out of 316L stainless steel and uses a balanced combo of satin brushed and polished surfaces. The silver dial hosts raised steel indices. Indices, minute- and hour hands have been filled with Swiss Super LumiNova C1 which is white in daylight and turns green in darkness. Just like the other Catalina watches the dial runs on a movement from Seiko called VK64. The chronograph (timer function) runs up to 60 minutes, the bezel is unidirectional with 120 clicks, the date window is positioned at 6 o’clock and the watch case is water resistant to 10 atm / 100 m / 328 ft.
