MALM STARTS COLLAB WITH THE ONLY WOSTEP-CERTIFIED WATCHMAKING SCHOOL IN NORTHERN EUROPE

The watchmaker's school in Motala, Sweden, is the only school amongst the Nordic countries that follows the Swiss WOSTEP's standard and their 3000-hour program in watchmaking. After completing your education you will receive three different diplomas; A polytechnic degree, the famous international WOSTEP certificate, and a "gesällbrev" - a Swedish certificate as a proper watchmaker.

The collaboration between MALM and the School aims to offer at least six internships each year for first, second and third year students.

- We are very happy and excited about this collaboration. This watchmaking school is highly reputable and in terms of results from theoretical and practical tests they are in the top tier, so they definitely educate world class watchmakers. This collaboration ensures that the students early in their education gain a practical understanding of work with product development, assembly, service and maintenance, sales and much more. At the same time, we at MALM get to learn from the large experience and competence provided by the School. Hopefully this will lead to further employment and we can retain the talents in Swedish watchmaking. It is not only good for MALM and the School, but also for Swedish watchmaking as a whole, says Marcus Malm.
